Simple Oyster Stir-Fry Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp water or chicken stock
- 1 tsp cornflour
Optional:
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- Chilli flakes
Instructions
- In a small bowl mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water.
- Add the cornflour and stir until dissolved.
Cooking
- Heat a wok or frying pan over high heat with a little oil.
- Cook your meat or vegetables first.
- Add garlic or ginger if using and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour the sauce into the pan.
- Stir continuously as the sauce thickens and coats everything.
Notes
- Works well with chicken, beef, prawns, or mixed vegetables.
- If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of water.
- Great served over Perfect Steamed Rice.
