Simple Oyster Stir-Fry Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp water or chicken stock
  • 1 tsp cornflour

Optional:
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- Chilli flakes

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and water.
  2. Add the cornflour and stir until dissolved.

Cooking

  1. Heat a wok or frying pan over high heat with a little oil.
  2. Cook your meat or vegetables first.
  3. Add garlic or ginger if using and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Pour the sauce into the pan.
  5. Stir continuously as the sauce thickens and coats everything.

Notes

  • Works well with chicken, beef, prawns, or mixed vegetables.
  • If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of water.
  • Great served over Perfect Steamed Rice.
